Steve, in the component inspector, did you change the XML File Type to Media RSS? And in the file path, did you use "api.smugmug.com" and add the "Sandboxed=1" parameter?

Also, make sure your client has checked "allow external links" in the gallery you're pulling the images from.

Let me know if this helps any.

Hey Darren,

Been searching for an answer to intergrating SmugMug and SSP and found your post. My situation is slight,y different... My client wants a SSP on her external website that will pull the images from her SmugMug gallery... I am familliar with SSP and have used it quite a bit, but never for rss feeds.. I have set my xml path in the component inspector exactly the same as your is listed above and changed the 'Data' to my clients data... when I upload everything I get "Slideshow data cannot load due to security issue" Any assistance you can provide would be appreciated.

Thanks for your comments, Bruce. I like working with Joomla. Now that I've used it for a few sites, I have a better understanding of what can be done with it. There is a good library of extensions for Joomla, too. Of course, my own site is built on WordPress, which I really like for it's simplicity and usability.

Great job, Darren. I like the way you've used the red to highlight a few selected elements, the rollover effect on the orange menu bar, and the texture you added with the bg images (both the wheat and the stippled pattern behind the logo and in the footer).

How did you find Joomla to work with? I've looked at it but have never had a project that would benefit enough from it to merit taking the time to learn. I assume there are folks from all four coops who use CMS interface. Too bad they didn't allow you to migrate those sites over into this one. :-o

I never tire of admiring your work. Always great stuff. Always.
